Valentine's Day

Jocelynne won her first award this last week. She and Landon were "dancing" together at our Stake Valentine's Day Dance when they were chosen to receive the "oddest couple" award. It was a fun dance. Landon was a bit embarrassed by my energetic movements, however, and stated that I dance a little "Napoleonesque." At least I upgraded from the caveman dance I used to amuse my family with.

Jocelynne still refuses to eat from a spoon, although she has begun to be very interested in what Mom and Dad eat. She watches us as we dip our spons/forks into the food and bring it to our mouths. When it comes time for her to eat, on the other hand, it seems like she'd rather be doing anything else. After 3 minutes of nursing, she often breaks away and looks around the room or stares into my face. Then she'll smile and latch back on. Not only does this new eating style take longer, but my milk often squirts onto my pants and leaks down my shirt when she pulls off. She's definitely turning into a little social butterfly, more interested in her surroundings than her stomach.
