Opera Baby

Top picture: Just waking up.
Middle: Chillin' with Dad.
Bottom: Rice cereal feast.

Jocelynne's in love with her voice. This affair has just started, and I can tell it's going to be a noisy one. Her current vocal skills include a strange guttural noise in the back of her throat (Landon says she's practicing her French r's), a gargling noise (like people make when they gargle water - I think it's because she makes so much saliva), and a super-sonic coo sound that starts at a pitch that only dogs can hear and then descends slowly until it's in a normal range. That last one is really cute as long as it's not in sacrament meeting.

Landon and I spent 6 hours last night putting up new curtains (on a traverse rod with drawstring pulls. Fancy stuff.) in our bedroom. We were exhausted when they were finally finished, around 11 pm. We sat down to rest and stared at our curtains. I started to giggle, and then he started to laugh and we could stop. These cranberry colored curtains dominate 24 feet of our back wall, and I guess we didn't realize how overwhelming they would look when closed. I felt like I was at a theatre and expected to see a movie screen when we pulled the red cloth back.

I wouldn't eat that rice cereal either.
