We celebrated Joss' second birthday last night. We had her party a couple of weeks early because Landon will be gone on her actual birthday. He's leaving in a few hours for Texas, where he'll spend 3 weeks playing soldier. He's disappointed that he'll be hours away from the great birding spots in Texas.
Jocelynne has been copying a lot of what we say, which can be entertaining. When I come into her room in the morning, for instance, she says, "Hi, honey!" Chloe is stingy with her smiles, but when she treats me to one it makes my day. She's still fairly fussy, crying a good amount between naps. She likes to be held, but not when I'm sitting down. It's preferable to her if I'm standing up and bouncing or walking. So I've learned to do some household chores one-handed while bouncing and dodging Joss as she weaves around my legs, clamoring for attention.
