The Girls
Comfy and Cozy
Princesses Chloe, Ella (3 years old, Bishop's daughter), and Jocelynne
Tristan stepped! I can't quite call it walking, as it's only 2-3 steps at a time, but at least he's vertical. I expect he'll be walking this week. I don't know what's taken him so long -- his head isn't huge and he's not chunky (I've seen those things hinder other children).
The girls had their first sleep-over last week. They spent the night at Bishop Miller's house so that Landon and I could go to the temple in Baton Rouge (we picked up Tristan at 10:45 PM and took him home). I worried that they might be homesick and asked to be driven home in the middle of the night. I worried they'd be disoriented and cry when they awakened. When I picked them up in the morning, I expected the happy cries of "Mommy! It's MOMMY!" Turns out I was wrong on all accounts.
After I dragged them out to the van, Joss said disgustedly, "Mom, go BACK to the TEMPLE!"
A counselor in the primary told me that when she interviewed Joss for Spotlight answers a couple of weeks ago, Jocelynne said that her favorite food was broccoli. When asked what was her least favorite food, Joss didn't understand the question. So Esprit (the counselor) asked, "What would be the grossest thing you could ever eat?" Jocelynne replied, "Garbage."
Jocelynne passed off the 6th Article of Faith today in primary so she could get candy from the President. When her turn came she recited: "We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, opposums, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth." The primary president was able to ignore the reference to the marsupial, other than a slight smile. Chloe recited the 2nd Article of Faith and got candy, too.
