Pictures: Everyone catching a ride; Romping on the floor; Joss; Chloe strikes a pose
Jocelynne is excited for Thanksgiving and has asked me to role play killing a turkey with her. She gobbles and gets on all fours and I have to prepare her for dinner.
Chloe has (mostly) stopped sucking her thumb. The dentist told her at our last appointment that if she kept sucking she'd get "horsey teeth". I painted some of that foul-tasting deterrent on her thumb nail last week to help her kick the habit entirely. Out of curiosity, I painted my thumb too. It was awful. I realized that I inadvertently touch my thumb to my mouth several times a day, and it somehow got on my food too. Chloe wouldn't eat much for a few days, saying everything tasted "icky". It took several days for it to come off. She didn't suck her thumb for about 72 hours. But she also starved.
Tristan made my week by saying "Mama". Today when I was changing his diaper I teased him by wrapping it (the clean diaper) around his head and saying, "Does the diaper go here?" He smiled and patted his bum to show me how to do the job right. Because he's not talking, I often underestimate his intelligence. Next time I'll give him the diaper and say, "Put it on."
