Jocelynne has discovered the phone. This is her first phone call from a friend at school, which lasted about half an hour.
We went to the "Stepping Outdoors Day" a couple of weeks ago. Here the firemen are showing the kids how to spray a fire hose.
Fishing was their favorite activity, although Tristan refused to have a cricket sacrificed on the end of his hook and fished without bait. We didn't catch any fish, but we did see two little alligators swimming in the water!
Logan's happy to be there!

Logan's ready to go home.
Holding a baby alligator.
Chloe says it feels "slimy."
After the boat ride.
Joss at Activity Day Girls. They learned budgeting while ordering and "paying" for their banana splits.
Tristan graduated from our little co-op preschool. That was this past Wednesday. On Thursday morning he was ready to go to "big school with the girls"! He was bummed to learn about summer vacation and how he couldn't start kindergarten until August.
Landon has been gone half the month, it seems, between his summer job and his North Carolina conference. He's working on some small islands in the Gulf of Mexico, counting banded pelicans and other stuff. He enjoys it, except that he has to be gone 4-5 days at a time.
Logan has started spitting, and will use this new weapon in his arsenal to show displeasure or simply ward off boredom. At least the biting stage is over.
Chloe is starting to enjoy reading, although she won't spend hours with a book like Joss can. She calls her friend Ana, "Girl!", said with a Southern, Black accent. She starts most of her sentences with "By the way," regardless of context.
I am working on shedding the pregnancy weight, and have lost 11 pounds since the middle of April with Trim, Healthy Mama (look it up - it's way cooler than its name). Other than that, just the same old stuff: working in the garden, cleaning, cooking, kissing booboos, and sneaking into my room to read a good novel once in a while.

By the way, I love your blog. Girl, way to LOSE that weight. You lookin' good, I assume, since you're always holding the camera, I don't really know. :)
LOL! Love it, Shauna. Could totally hear Chloe's voice in that comment.
