California Summer 2015

This may have been my last Sunday of pregnancy. Ever. Currently at 3 cm.

Logan gets antsy watching Aunt Sari take Chloe's baptism photos.

Sari's turned out better, but here's a preview. The swamp in the background is full of alligators, turtles, birds and fish.

Tristan lets Logan tag along with him while I help with the school's waterslide party.

Nonna, David and the kids relax in front of "Tangled" after bath time.

Dress up at Nonna's.

Kids before church (need I specify that we are at Nonna's house?).

Yiri and the kids cool down at Grandma and Grandpa's with popsicles.

Reading time with Grandpa.

Meeting up with Aunt Emmy.

Sisters.

30 hours in the van, each way.

At David's baptism.

We did it again--made the long drive to California to visit our favorite people. This time Landon couldn't come and I was 8 months pregnant, so my sister Sara joined us for our "adventure," as she euphamistically called our 60 hour round trip drive. The kids kept asking "Are we still in Texas?" All worth it! Some highlights include body boarding at the beach, swimming at the pool, and going to the Jelly Belly Factory. Seeing the family was the best part, of course.

When we returned to Louisiana, I was 37 weeks along and my nesting instinct took over all reason. Fortunately I had Sara, who makes professional organizers look sloppy. We turned the house upside down with cleaning, organizing, painting, donating, and tossing. Sometimes she wouldn't stop until 4 AM. It was just what I needed to make room for another person in the house. So now I am just waiting for the contractions to start!

I should mention that Landon went to South Africa last month for a seed dispersal conference and got to go on bird tours and safaris. An elephant actually licked the tour car. He thinks that was more fun than my frantic nesting. To each his own.

Good luck with the fifth and final birth! It's awesome, being done. Ahhh. I'm torn between which I would choose: cleaning my house entirely or having my vehicle licked by an elephant. I suppose I would choose the elephant licking as I can clean my house any old time.
