Grandma holds (dangles? LOL) Dane. She spent a lot of time caring for him and cooking dinner for the family during her stay. She also took over teaching the girls' piano lessons, which was nice. I usually teach them on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Putting essential oils on the kids' feet became a bedtime ritual while Grandma was here. They loved it.

Baby Dane
The Jones family at the Lafayette airport, waiting to fly to California for Nonna's wedding. 5 kids, 5 car seats, 6 suitcases, 3 backpacks, and 1 great time! Landon had the kids carry their own car seats (except Dane, of course) and drag their own suitcases. We were gawked at throughout the trip, a freak show to alleviate any boredom our fellow travelers might have experienced. But all comments were positive, and people were understanding and helpful.
My gorgeous girls at Nonna and David's wedding at the San Diego Temple.

And my handsome boys.

And my other handsome boys.
Somehow I ended up not having a picture of the newlyweds! Sari was the wedding photographer, so I'll have to get some from her. The ceremony was lovely, and it was wonderful to see Nonna so happy.

On Sunday David and Susan left on their honeymoon. Sari, Becky, Gerald, Addy, Meagan, Mario, Charlotte, Evie, Garrett and our family all got together for dinner and had a great time. On Monday we went to the beach.

Sari taught the kids how to boogie board.

The kids love their fun aunts!
Everyone was tired the day after we got back to Louisiana.
And I continue to be tired, mostly due to this little angel. He's a great sleeper in that he goes to bed around 9 PM and wakes up for the day at 7 AM. But then he likes to eat every 2 hours in between. So although he starts out the night in his crib, he inevitably ends up in bed with me because we both fall asleep during feedings.
He's such a cutie and has us all wrapped around his finger. Jocelynne and Chloe regularly help with his showers and diaper changes. Tristan often volunteers to hold Dane when I am busy, and Logan is great at fetching binkies and blankies. Some of the pet names I've heard the kids call him are quite inventive: My Heart's Desire, My Treasure, My Chicken Burrito (when he's swaddled), My Little Cheeto, Dane-y Wane-y, The General (because we all jump to do his bidding), and Little Sugar Cube.
