Grandpa's Costumes

Dane is in the getting-into-everything stage, so we have to do things like store the chairs on top of the dinner table and keep the kitchen trashcan on top of the chest freezer.  When we don't put the trash up, we find all sorts of treasures that Dane stores in there.  We had to replace a pair of Landon's shoes once when we didn't check the trash before putting it out.

Chloe's Halloween costume.

Joss wanted to try it on, too.

Dane likes going to the park on Wednesdays, and I enjoy chatting with the other mommies in our playgroup.

Joss had some friends over for a late-over on her birthday.  Tristan got into the spirit of "girls' night" and jumped onto the hair-braiding-train.

Chloe and Joss have been writing notes to their school and church teachers lately.  A few of them have texted/told me about how much they appreciate the warm words.  Here's a note from Chloe to her science/math teacher.

Grandpa spoiled the girls this year with Halloween costumes.  We just watched "Pirates of the Caribbean" for Family Movie Night, so Joss chose the pirate costume.

"I think you need to change my diaper, Mom."

Interpretation from French, "Who wants to say the prayer?"  He raises his hand every night, much to the delight of his siblings.

Jocelynne's guitar teacher at school invited her to play a solo for the school board last week.  Landon went and reported that she played a beautiful rendition of "Green Sleeves."  She seems to do better performing in front of an audience than speaking.

Chloe finished Harry Potter 5 today, and Tristan is still faithfully plodding along in book 1.  Logan enjoys memorizing nursery rhymes and doing his "homework" from kindergarten.  His fine motor skills (AKA writing) need work, but math and letters are coming easily to him.

The kids have their own email address now, and have been going hog wild with their new toy.  I had to sit them down today and explain that "hello!" does not constitute a full email.  For those of you receiving these frequent, short bursts of communication, thank you for graciously writing back.  :)
