Little Scooter

Top picture: Funny face
Bottom picture: Glamour baby.
Jocelynne has added another form of locomotion to her repertoire: scooting (but only backwards). She can roll to either side for great distances, and she can scoot backwards for a few feet, but she hasn't managed to go directly forwards yet. She rolled right into a piece of furniture while I was writing this. She must have inherited her mother's spacial skills.

She ate her first store-bought baby food yesterday. Daphne (my girfriend from the midwifery clinic) brought over some organic brown rice and carrots baby food that her son wouldn't eat and offered it to Jocelynne. She loved it! She was diving at the spoonfulls of carrots with her mouth gaping open, breathing excitedly between bites. She had orange food from her chin to her nose after the feeding, and the stain wouldn't come off her face with a washcloth. She looked jaundiced for a couple of hours.

Landon has spent the week seeking a summer job, now that the time is drawing closer. I pray that he'll find something that'll be a good experience for him as well as bring in enough money so I don't have to go back to work. He has applied to work with the forest service, so we're hoping to hear back from them soon.
