Garrett says that Jocelynne is like a little Hum-V, the way she crawls over obstacles like my boot or a pillow rather than circumventing them. When I saw her crawling over my boot, her left leg was lifted high in the air while her arms were stiff and holding her weight up in front. I had to laugh at her. She's also picked up the nickname Destructo this week, as she's figured out how to climb up onto her knees by holding on to furniture. This gives her another few inches of height, and she can do things like sweep our DVDs and scatter our Settlers of Catan games off of the shelves of the entertainment center.
We went down to St. George for the weekend and visited Bryce National Park and Zion National Park. Jocelynne enjoyed the hikes on Daddy's back. The parks were beautiful. Zion was my favorite. Landon also went birding the next day (Saturday) from 6 AM to 5 PM with a fellow bird nerd. He saw 10 new birds in all, enough fun to last at least another week. :)
