Landon and Jocelynne are playing on the living room floor right now. Landon's trying to block the doorway with his leg. He says that she first tests it out to see if it's something to eat, then, deciding it's not edible, she uses it to try to stand up with. Everything off of the floor is a handhold for her now to aid her in becoming a biped. Her newest trick is giving everybody the stink eye. She scrunches up her nose and furrows her eyebrows while pursing her lips. If it weren't so comical, I'm afraid people might be offended. It really is a nasty face. Landon called it "going from a cute little pumpkin fairy to gargoyle face." Everyone on the pew behind us in church got the face.
Jocelynne also made her first ASL sign this week. I had gone to a violin lesson, and Jocelynne got hungry. She flashed the "milk" sign at Landon 4 times in the space of an hour. Today I think she tried to make the "all gone" sign, but it was almost unrecognizable. Very cute, though.
We'll be traveling to see the Joneses in southern California in a week, and then to the Willifords in northern California at the end of August. We're looking forward to seeing everybody.
