We're all in Lake Elsinore, CA for a few days on Holiday. Friday we went shopping and yesterday we played at the beach. Rick, Susan, Landon and I took turns kayaking at Dana Pointe so someone was left on the beach to keep fistfulls of sand from reaching Jocelynne's mouth. Despite our diligence, Jocelynne's stomach had a good amount
of sand in it by the end of the day, and even some hardened bird poop. But Jocelelynne LOVED the beach. She loved the sand, the water, watching the birds and the people -- everything. I wish we had a picture of her with sand covering her chin and cheeks like a man's 5 o'clock shadow.
We stopped in Arizona to see a friend of mine before we got here. Landon took off around 4 AM from their place to go on a long-awaited birding excursion (he was gone 15 hours!) while I lazed around at Shae's house, watching movies, doing relief society assignments, and reading. Although we had fun with my friend, it was a relief to leave the 110 degree weather.
Pictures, top to bottom: Jocelynne's first pony ride at Thanksgiving Point for an IHC employee summer party; eating grass at the summer party; upside down binkie picture (she likes to put the binkie in herself); getting ready for church.
