Today was Jocelynne's first day in nursery! Jamie went with her for her first day, as I was too sick to be in contact with all of the toddlers. The only problem Joss had, according to Jamie, was a communication barrier. None of the nursery workers know ASL.
Joss had fun helping me plant some peas and lettuce yesterday. She had dirt all over her hands and mouth and carried a spade around like she was born to garden. She enjoys any activity outside, and I often have to drag her in from even just feeding the chickens in the backyard. I've found that she'll come willingly if I allow her to hold one of the eggs we've collected. I hold my breath as I watch her little legs negotiating the undulations in our driveway, hoping she doesn't stumble and drop the egg. I know it's just a matter of time before one splats on the ground between the coop and the fridge.
She's making the "diaper" sign to me now, and she smells a little funny. It's too bad Landon's in Spanish Fork caring for his pheasants. :)
