After an extremely cold winter, it's finally warming up here. It was in the 70s yesterday! Jocelynne has been enjoying the increased time we've spent outdoors, whether it's going for a walk or helping me feed the chickens. She can recognize a chicken now, and says "Bop bop bop" for the chicken noise. Whenever a sound is too hard for her, she just substitutes a "b" or a "p". So the cow says "boo" instead of "moo" and I was "papa" until the last week. She can finally say "mom" and "mama".
Joss and I are sick today and staying home from church. Last night my friend Jamie came over. Joss gave her a big hug and then sneezed and wiped her nose on Jamie's shoulder. If she doesn't wipe her snot on somebody else, Jocelynne will rub it all over her face with the backs of her hands. When she woke up yesterday morning, her hair was stuck to mucus on her face so she looked like a hairy, green-scaled monster.
Landon won two contests this week at BYU, getting first place for an environmental essay contest and second place for a poster displaying his work researching West African raptor studies.
