Happy Father's Day, Papa!
This week I put Joss in front of Signing Time and said, "I'm going downstairs to exercise. You can go down there if you need me." She was engrossed in her video, so I said, "Ok, Jocelynne? Ok?" Finally, without looking up, she said, "Bye." She said it in such a flippant "don't bother me right now" tone that I had to laugh.
She says "oui" now on demand. It's very cute. We're wondering what her second French word will be. Other new words this week are "Garrett", "auntie", "piggy", "Nona", and "two."
While she was playing in her bath tonight I heard her begin to cry. She's normally very happy in the tub, so I rushed in to see what was wrong. Several brown logs were floating around her in the water, and she was upset about that. After the clean up, I wondered aloud to Landon why that situation would scare her. He replied that it's probably because she never sees her own stool -- it stays in her diaper until we take care of it. I thought that was pretty funny, to be scared of your own poop.
