Water Babies

We got back from Lake Elsinore this week. We stayed with Nona for about nine days, in which we didn't do much besides eat (to prove the point - I gained 8 pounds), swim in the pool, and sleep. It was good to see Landon's family, and Becky and Gerald popped in to say "hi" to the girls as well.

Jocelynne is in a princess phase and will sometimes request to be called Ariel. Nona has learned to use this obsession to her advantage and would say things like, "How would a princess ask?"

Chloe is getting into everything and devouring life. She is a happy creature most of the time, and uttered her first word after dropping something at Nona's: "Uh-oh." She says this quite often now. She can also take up to 6 steps at a time unassisted. One of her favorite things to do nowadays is to stick her fingers in people's mouths, especially kids' and babies' mouths. My friend's eleven-month-old does this to people's eyes, so I guess it could be worse. It's Chloe's first birthday tomorrow, so we're going to have some friends over for FHE and cake.
