We celebrated Joss' birthday on Saturday (although her birthday's on Tuesday). She wanted to go to the park, so we had some friends over and played at the park down the street and then had brownies and ice cream. I had made her a cake, but it turned out too Dr. Seuss-ish to present to company, so Landon is currently taking care of it on the couch next to me. :) For her birthday present, Joss got to pick out a pumpkin (from Landon's professor's garden) and take it home. It's small enough that she likes to carry it around. Nona is also sending her some princess gowns. Already I have to cater to Joss' princess obsessions. Daily, she'll say something to the effect of, "I'm Ariel. Mom, say: 'Hi, Ariel!'". Then I have to go through the motions of greeting the princess of the day.
