Pictures: Christmas Morning; Lil' Chef; Princess in a Basket
Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Joss was old enough to be excited about opening presents, which was fun to watch. Chloe liked opening her gifts, too, and alternated between biting and shaking them to get them open.
Besides the commercial aspect of Christmas, Jocelynne really latched onto the concept of the nativity. At our ward Christmas party, Landon and I played the parts of Mary and Joseph for the primary play. After that, it took a while to convince her we had just been pretending. She wanted to name the baby "Jesus." Since then she has been obsessed, and she often curls up in a basket or on the floor and exclaims, "I'm Baby Jesus! Mommy, say 'Hi, Baby Jesus!'"
Chloe can now find her belly button and nose and can give kisses (cute puckered ones versus the old sucker-fish approach). Joss has learned to like helping in the kitchen, especially when she gets to lick a beater or batter-covered spatula. Landon has had a couple of promising job interviews. I am really enjoying my job, which surprises me. Although laser hair removal is pretty mindless, I've found the discussions I have with my clients interesting. Now if I could just get rid of the singed hair smell. . . .
Oh, and I'm looking for any good recipes using lentils or beans, especially crock pot recipes. So leave me an email or a comment if you've got a winner!
