Italian Vacation

To those considering traveling with a toddler, it CAN be done! Chloe did fairly well on our Italy trip. She cat-napped her way through Rome, Florence, and Venice while we went exploring, occasionally fussing to remind us that she still needed to be fed, changed, and hugged once in a while. The umbrella stroller took quite a beating on the cobblestone roads, and finally a back wheel broke off at the end of our trip. Then we got to take turns carrying her in the baby carrier, which helped to burn off a little gelato.

My favorite things about the Italy trip were being with family, seeing The David, and walking the streets of Venice. Oh, and the gelato and pastries! I'm afraid to weigh in at my next prenatal appointment! The highlight for Landon was touring the Colosseum, where he would randomly exclaim things like "Maximus!" and "Are you not entertained?!" from Gladiator. It was overwhelming to think of the manpower and skill that went into such a monstrous edifice.

While we were gone, Joss had fun going to the zoo with Aunt Becky and Gerald, manipulating her grandparents into letting her stay up late and watch videos, and playing with the girls from church.

I'm glad you got to go to Italy! That has to be my favorite place in the world (so far) for food. If you do weigh in a little more at your next appointment, remember--it was soooo worth it! Oh, and the sights are pretty awesome too!

I'm glad you liked Italy so much and things worked out taking Chloe! That's inspiring, I want to be able to travel with Jairus. You'll have to post more pictures though!
