Joss at Nonna's house
Chloe, tensed and ready to swat at any bubbles that may come her way
Playing bubbles at Nonna's house
We're finally home from our month-long holiday. It was SO great to visit with family for so long and see many many friends. AND Landon got to visit the largest egg museum in the WORLD for three days! Score! The rest of us just went to Disneyland instead.
When I asked Joss what she wanted to be when she grew up she replied after some thought, "A BIG Barbi." She and Chloe were playing Snow White tonight. They let me be the evil queen, and they said Tristan had to be a "dorf". They decided on Dopey, which is somewhat fitting since Tristan still isn't talking. I think he's putting all of his energy into climbing and dexterity skills instead. He likes to climb into the bathroom sink and turn the water on, and he can take off his diaper through his clothes. The boy's got skillz.
I had to get myself and the kids ready for church this morning in 20 minutes because I didn't hear the alarm. Flying into church to play the prelude music, I popped Tristan into a friend's arms and took the girls with me to the organ where they sat in the choir seats. Mid-prelude, however, they plopped beside me on the organ bench. Chloe kept trying to wriggle down onto the organ peddles at my feet. I was trying to keep her off of the bass peddles with an elbow when I heard her say, "Mom, are these buttons for us to push?" I didn't realize that she'd followed through with that thought until I started the sacrament song, which sounded soft and flute-like and lacked any bass. It was like happy fairies in the woods. Not the preset I had selected.
Joss starts school this Wednesday. She argued that she's too little to start school and fought it until she spent 20 minutes with her teacher last week. She's still not thrilled with the uniforms, however, and wants to wear dresses instead.

I wish I would have been there for that sacrament meeting. You always did make me giggle when you played the hymns in Guatemala. You always know how to spice it up.
I agree Joss is to little, holy cow can't believe she'll be just a year behind Abby in school!
I'm still learning the organ, so I can't play with my Guatemala flair yet. But those days were so fun, huh? When Joss said she wanted to grow up to be Barbi, I laughed and thought of you since that's what the Guatemalan doctors called you.
