Eco-Barbie

Chloe shares her ice cream.

Joss with her fellow dancers at the Noche Caribe celebration here at CATIE. She's a great little dancer.

Flaunting her cuteness.

The kids love the cement statues at the park. For some reason, climbing and riding them never gets old.

While I was busy getting the kids ready to catch the 6:30 AM bus into town, Logan found a bowl of oatmeal.

For her English class at school, Joss was instructed to draw a picture of what she wants to be when she grows up. The last time I asked her that question, her answer was "a big Barbie." She's moved on to a more ecological mindset, it seems, as she drew this picture of her trapping toucans with a team of volunteers.

It was the best Sunday of the year this week: the annual primary program. Tristan got himself dressed in the morning and put his pants on backwards. Because I had to get myself and the 4 kids ready before the bus came around, I didn't have time to turn them around and he refused to do it himself. So there he sat in the front row with his fly rear-side for everyone to see, since he sat backwards on the chair throughout the program.

Joss refused to say her part again. Now, I have to admit she's had it hard. She's had parts in French (in Louisiana) and Spanish (here), but never English. She always memorizes her parts beautifully, however, and then shuts down when she gets to the podium.

The congregation melted as Chloe recited her piece. They find it adorable that a little blue-eyed blonde girl can speak Spanish like a Tica. After she finished she smiled and then jumped off of the podium (THUD) and jumped again into her chair. We'll have to talk about reverence.

Do you love having cute kids? I love Joss' little dancing outfit. Maybe Tristan will bring back the Criss Cross look.

Those kids are so big! I can't believe how much the boys look like Landon. I'm glad that Joss is such a smart girl because when you get back to the states, she's going to have 3 different languages all jumbled up in her brain! :) I think I asked for your address once before, but never got it. Email it to me if you have time. I'd love to send you some fun stuff!
