The Logan Monster

The girls showing off their new Costa Rican traditional dance costumes.

Joss, all gussied-up and ready to dance.

The hat doesn't work, but she's cute anyway.

Logan likes to bring his trike inside. I don't know why. It's the same temperature outside as inside.

Joss and Tristan do leglifts while Chloe and her friend from Napal try to watch TV. They like to exercise with me, at least for the first 3 minutes.

Logan at his best. Note the face-plant mark on his forehead, the snotty nose, the marker-sucking mouth, and the chipped tooth.

Tristan in his happy place looking at his sticker book.

We're all enjoying mango season (except Joss, who won't eat them). Logan's good at getting all of the fruit off of the pit.

One day Logan went behind the house and took my dry laundry off of the line and put it in a basket. I was so proud!

Then while I was busy with the camera, he dumped the clean laundry onto the ground and stepped on it.

Logan said his first phrase: "Mas arriba." He wanted me to keep throwing him up in the air and catching him. He has also become proficient at saying the names of his siblings and the bully next door so that he can tell me who hurt him when he comes to me crying.

Tristan turned 4! Unfortunately, now we have to pay for his bus fare. We had a small family party and he got to go out to ice cream with just Mommy and Daddy.

Jocelynne and Chloe spend most of the free time playing with the neighbor kids, in the park at at other apartments. Their Spanish is great now and they enjoy socializing. Tristan usually speaks a nice mix of Spanglish, regardless of whether he's speaking to an American or Costa Rican. Logan too. They just have their favorite words in each language and probably think that everyone is bilingual.

Yum! I wish I could enjoy mango season. You will probably be grossed out with our imported fruits when you get back to the states, which is so soon!!! How are you feeling about that? Happy birthday to Tristan!
