No Photos, But Marching On

I love being friends with Mica! The bus stop where I pick up Joss and Chloe from school is in front of her house. Tonight we're having maple-brushed pork tenderloin with boiled shrimp, garlic rolls, corn on the cob, and a homemade cranberry sauce. All cooked and ready to be heated up for dinner. I don't know why I didn't befriend a chef YEARS ago. I watch her kids when she's in a pinch, and she drowns us in delicacies.

Jocelynne fasted for the first time today, for just one meal. We're starting out small. But I am proud of her and her desire please her Heavenly Father. She also put on a small jacket over her dress today to cover her bare shoulders. She explained to me that now that she was baptized, she needed to avoid wearing immodest clothing.

The boys love the bunk beds we got off of Craigslist. It's day 3 and nobody has fallen off yet. The only problem is that they smell like they were in a smoker's house, so I'm going to have to buy new mattresses for them. The first night all of the kids slept in them. Jocelynne drew the short straw and had to sleep with Logan on the bottom bunk, so she only survived a couple of hours before she retreated to her own bed in tears. I was surprised, in fact, that she lasted more than 30 minutes. She REALLY wanted to sleep in the new bed, I guess. Logan is ruthless.

I have lost the charger to my camera battery, unfortunately, so no pictures until I find it or buy a new one.
