Toothless

Chloe lost her front tooth on a Friday night.

The next night she lost another one. But she managed to keep all of her dentition the night after that.

Wacky hair day at the kids' school. Chloe came home with her braids sticking to the back instead of to the sides. Apparently they kept snagging on people's clothes.

The kids playing with their cousin, Addelina.

More fun with Addy.

They spend hours on the tire swing and get bit mercilessly by mosquitoes in our swampy backyard.

Aunt Becky and Addy spent a whole week with us! I had pneumonia at the time (boo!), so we didn't get out and do much. Mostly she helped me out and took the family to yummy restaurants. Thanks for coming, guys!

At the school Spring Fling. Logan chose the Elsa tiara for his face paint.

Nonna came! She threw a Star Wars-themed bash for Tristan's 6th birthday.

I still had pneumonia, so she mostly took care of the kids and house during her visit.

And took us out to yummy restaurants. Thanks, Nonna!

Just like last pregnancy, my lungs started failing around 20 weeks. After 7 weeks and an emergency room and 2 urgent care visits, I finally got the right cocktail of meds that got me functioning again. Now I just need to get back in shape. I'm surprised there's not an indentation of my posterior in the couch after weeks of having the energy of a sloth.

Joss is quickly entering pre-pubescence with all its leg-shaving and deodorant-wearing glory. She manages to stay sweet-tempered most of the time and is a joy to be around. She LOVES school and being with her friends there.

Chloe and Logan have a special bond. She calls him "my baby" and he calls her "mama." When I'm busy making my indentation on the couch, I'll often delegate tasks to Chloe. Logan won't let Joss or Tristan brush his teeth or put on his pj's -- just Chloe. She spends her time drawing and playing with her siblings.

Tristan is my cuddle bear. I simply can't kiss and hug him enough to fill his Love-O-Meter, so he's constantly jumping up so he can reach my face for a kiss or trying to leap into my arms for a hug. He enjoys school, but wishes it were shorter. He's beginning to read and likes being able to make sense of words he sees around him.

Logan is a clown. He's often doing silly jigs to get others to laugh. He loves his joy school and Star Wars.

Landon's working feverishly to complete the first chapter of his dissertation so he can graduate in December. And I'm busy encouraging him. :) Besides that he's still teaching seminary at church and working his 3 part-time jobs. He is careful to leave time to have fun with the kids on the weekends and do his hometeaching. What a guy!

Lungs failing?!!? Yikes! You sure like to live life with flair. I confess, I miss the Costa Rican entries. They were funny and awful. Not awfully written, but awful with things like pinworms and lice.

Congrats to Chloe for the missing teeth! I loved reading about her bond with Logann. And your snuggly Tristan. And your ever-maturing Joss.

Good luck on the final leg of your doctoral journey, Landon! Your life sounds very busy and full and happy. I hope you and your couch survive this last pregnancy.
