To Indiana, and beyond! There's not much to play with after everything's packed up, so Dane passed his time running up and down the ramp to the moving truck.
It was a sad day when we packed up all our beds, since that day happened to be 3 days before we actually moved. But there's a pillow right next to you, Logan!
The kids left artwork for the new owners.
Our friends and moving crew.
Logan with Mrs. Yergeaux, his dynamic, fun first grade teacher. She adored him and would go on and on about what a great, obedient kid he was at school. And then he comes home and lets loose.
Nightly walk with Finn.
And Dane. This is how I get Dane to sleep when Landon is gone. Sometimes I only have to walk 2 blocks, sometimes it feels like 2 miles before he zonks out.
Daddy with his last baby.
Finn after his hair cut.
Tristan, looking at the fireflies in our backyard in Indiana tonight.
When we don't want to take two cars and Joss has to lie down on the floor of the minivan with only my phone to keep her company.
Just like Daddy -- if Daddy was Napoleon Dynamite.
My little Sweetie Pie.
Chloe is a big help with her baby brother.
I vant your milk!
Logan checked a book out the library on party ideas, knowing his birthday is coming up and I'm not much of a party-thrower. He had his heart set on making these fruit popsicles for his birthday.
At least we have time to practice.
We've been in our new Indiana home for 2 weeks now, and the kids are already making friends and enjoying summer vacation. They're reading up a storm (trying to earn prizes from the local library), and they're jumping on the trampoline and swimming in the pool.
Jocelynne just got back from girls camp, upset with the world that she had to come home from that preteen bliss. She played her guitar at bedtime to help the girls sleep, and forged all sorts of bonds with testimony sharing, inside jokes, and lots of giggles. And now she's singing camp songs around the house, like "Sipping Cider Through a Straw" and "Mormon Boy," and I'm feeling foolish for ever worrying that she'd get homesick.
Landon's going to Australia for a workshop tomorrow and will be gone for a week. After all the time he spent away from home this spring for work, I'm not wanting to let him go again. But it's Australia! So I'm making an exception.
