La Semana Santa

Semana Santa, or Holy Week, is a big deal here. Joss was thrilled to wear an angel costume to school one day last week because the school was performing a viacrusis, or way of the cross. From what I understand, it's basically a reenactment of Christ's arrest, crucifixion, and burial. I would have enjoyed watching, but by the time Susan and I finished the morning routine in town, we just wanted to go home.

We've enjoyed the last couple of weeks, with Susan's visit and Holy Week vacation. We didn't go anywhere, but it was nice not to have to take the kids to school. We had fun here at home. For instance, I can see Tristan outside the window right now, pouring mud and water on our communal walkway. Good times. I got a new sleek, carry-with-me-everywhere camera to replace my falling-apart dinosaur, so I've probably included way too many pictures in the blog. Enjoy.

I'm wearing mascara today, and I recently washed the perma-snot off of Logan's face, so I had Landon take a photo before the next sneeze. I love how he's raising one eyebrow, a talent he got from his dad. It's a source of family entertainment when I try.
